LCC Student Cards

A student identification card is required to borrow library materials. It is also necessary for off-campus access to some of the online databases that the library subscribes to.

Leeward Community College issues plastic photo ID cards to students, which serves as both a student identification card and a library card. This card is required for access to LCC computer labs, and is good for student discounts at businesses that offer them. Students can get a card by bringing their registration receipt and a photo ID to the library's circulation desk. The card must be revalidated at the library every semester. The first card is free; lost cards cost $10.00 to replace.

Student and faculty/staff cards are accepted at any library in the University of Hawaii system, although you will be subject to each library's own circulation policies.

Members of the general public, age 18 or older, can get a University of Hawaii Library Community Card for $30 for six months of borrowing privileges, or $60 for a year. The card can also be used at UH-West Oahu, UH-Manoa, UH-Hilo, Kauai Community College, Maui Community College, and Windward Community College. Community Card users have limited borrowing privileges, and are not entitled to inter-library loan services. Due to contractual obligations with online database vendors, Community Card users are not able to remotely access the library's subscription databases.

The back of the LCC Student Card has a barcode label and a validation sticker for  the current academic session. The non-photo version of the card is issued to students in distance education courses who cannot get to the LCC campus.
