• You are eligible to participate in this year's Commencement Ceremony if..
  • You are being awarded an Associate Degree and are within nine credits of completing the requirements for the degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
  • Or you are being awarded a Certificate and are enrolled in all of the requirements for the certificate.
• If this is YOU, then please get your Graduation Check with an Academic Advisor by March 31^st.

COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION WILL BE SENT:

• After you Grad Check with a Counselor you will receive a postcard in the mail (please see image below) informing you to check your Hawaii.edu emails.
• All information will be sent to your Hawaii.edu email address.

DEADLINES:

The deadline to participate in the Commencement Ceremony and to have your name appear in the Commencement Program is Wednesday, May 6, 2009.  The $15.00 graduation fee must be paid to the Cashiers Office.

You must also submit the RSVP form to the Student Activities Office, Room AD-223B by Wednesday, May 6, 2009.

Dress Code

• Casual attire
• No head lei or lei can be worn during the ceremony
• High heel height: Maximum of 3 inches

Announcements
Announcements will be sold at the Leeward Bookstore for $0.50 each. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 3:30pm.

DAY OF COMMENCEMENT

• You must report by 4pm between the LA and BE building, behind the LRC
• You will be asked to line up alphabetically.

o Leeward Wai'anae and Halau grads, and AAT majors will line up at the end of the line

• You must wear the black cap and gown sold at the Bookstore
• Please do not wear any lei or bring any hand bags

• Please remember that audience seats are on a first come first serve basis
