The Leeward CC Family Fun Fair celebrates its eighteenth year of providing families with a fun-filled day of games, interactive exhibits, and entertainment.
This year, the fair will be held on
Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 9 am - 3 pm
at the Leeward CC Pearl City campus

A unique feature will be drive-through, drop-off recycling of cans and bottles, printer cartridges, cell phones, laptops, household goods and clothing and much more. A returning feature of the Fair is the Local Food Market, offering everything from organic produce to locally crafted baked goods and seasonings. The first 300 people can get a free pakalana plant from the College's Shade House.

The cornerstone of the Fair is "Discovery Square," a bustling courtyard filled with more than 30 hands-on, interactive learning activities for the entire family. The Family Fun Fair offers a wide variety of exhibits, food and entertainment, including: Scholastic Book Fair, Food Booths, Galactic Games, Tours of the Fossil & Mineral Exhibits, and Continuous Entertainment. The Garden section of the Fair includes Native Hawaiian, R&S Nii Nursery, Brian Leonida and Olomana Gardens with Aquaponics, organ gardening, worms and vermicast.

There are many ways for faculty, staff, lecturers, and students to get involved.
